On Thursday October 14th, South Carolina's Department of Insurance's Director Ray Farmer spoke to students about various pertinent industry topics at the Gamma Iota Sigma speaker series event. These discussions included risks such as floods, cyber attacks, and COVID-19. The evening consisted of a Q&A type presentation between Managing Director of the Brantley Center and RMI professor Dr. David Marlett and Director Farmer.
The student turnout was impressive and it was the most attended GIS speaker series event of the semester. We are grateful to Director Farmer for coming all the way to Boone to speak with our students about the evolving dilemmas that the insurance industry faces and how to assess them.
