Students from the professional insurance fraternity at Appalachian State came together to celebrate Summer Schloss, risk management and insurance senior and Center on the AppState Women's Basketball Team, during "Senior Night" on Friday. The Mountaineers took home a win with a final score of 77-63.
Schloss transferred to Appalachian after her freshman year at the University of Alabama and has loved the "family atmosphere" at Appalachian, especially within the basketball and insurance programs. Schloss takes pride in being a student athlete and has made the Conference USA Academic Honor Roll. She is also a member of SAAC, the Dean's List, has interned in the AppRIMI program with the AppState Risk Management office, and was awarded the Markel Specialty Scholarship for 2022-2023.
