At their December 2019 Holiday Social in Charlotte, the Carolinas Risk Insurance Management Society (RIMS) chapter officers made another $15,000 financial contribution to the Appalachian State Risk Management & Insurance (RMI) program. Appalachian’s Brantley Center Director David Marlett, along with Gamma Iota Sigma Rho chapter officer Jason Garfinkle accepted the check from Carolinas RIMS chapter officers. Students and faculty from UNC Charlotte were also present for the social.
“We appreciate the continued support from the Carolinas RIMS Chapter,” added Dr. David Marlett. “Their annual contributions encourage our AppState students to engage with risk management and insurance professionals and enhance experiential learning.”

The Brantley Risk and Insurance Center in Appalachian State University's Walker College of Business enhances the academic experience by providing space and staff to assist risk management and insurance majors with networking, job placement preparation and contact with faculty members outside the classroom.
