On September 18, the Brantley Risk & Insurance Center sponsored the North Carolina Department of Insurance (NCDOI) flood continuing education event, "Flood Insurance: Protecting Consumers and Agents" within the Plemmons Student Union. More than 100 attendees participated in this event and the AppState Rho chapter Gamma Iota Sigma students worked extensively to provide logistical support to make the event run smoothly.
AppState Actuarial Science Senior, Ellen Collins, who interned summer 2019 with the NCDOI, also contributed greatly to the success of the day.
