AppState's GIS Risk Management Student Group Donates Nearly 300 Pounds of Food

The GIS Rho Chapter just concluded its bi-annual food drive, collecting 290 lbs of food in support of the Mountaineer Food Hub. Organized by Jackson Stamey and H. Baird, Co-Leaders of Community Service, this year's food drive was the most successful yet. This comes at an important time as the holiday season is a time of increased economic burden for many.

The Food Hub is an arm of the university that works to ensure all Appalachian State  students have food stability as well as access to personal care items. The Food Hub is located in East Hall and is open M-F, 8am-5pm. You can learn more about the food hub's mission and how to donate on their website, here: https://sustain.appstate.edu/initiatives/food-pantry/
