Appalachian’s Walker College of Business professors Dr. Lori Medders and Dr. Jamie Parson traveled with five Risk Management & Insurance (RMI) majors to the 2019 WomenLead Symposium hosted at Georgia State University on November 6. The event featured Pat Mitchell a trailblazing journalist, producer, executive, activist and author. Mitchell is a lifelong advocate for women and girls in leadership positions. Her talked was inspired by her book "Becoming a Dangerous Woman: Embracing Risk to Change the World"
