Sixteen Appalachian State students attended the 54th Gamma Iota Sigma Annual Conference in Hartford, CT, last week. Over the two-day event, students participated in a career fair featuring more than 80 companies and attended sessions on a wide range of current topics and trends in the Risk Management and Insurance industry.
AppState Gamma Iota Sigma -Rho Chapter was once again honored with the “Distinguished Chapter” Award, recognizing the top 12 chapters out of more than 120 nationwide for outstanding performance in 2024–2025. In addition, the chapter received a Chapter Achievement Award in Community Service. Congratulations to the entire Rho Chapter for these remarkable accomplishments. We are so proud of you—keep up the great work!
About the Brantley Risk and Insurance Center
The Brantley Risk and Insurance Center in Appalachian State University's Walker College of Business enhances the academic experience by providing space and staff to assist risk management and insurance majors with networking, job placement preparation, and contact with faculty members outside the classroom. It allows students to participate in professional designation and licensing programs and invites industry leaders to participate in classes and speak to student organizations.
