Future Appalachian Leaders Attend the GIS Regional Conference in Fort Worth, Texas

Four Appalachian State risk management and insurance (RMI) students had the opportunity to attend a fully-funded trip to the Gamma Iota Sigma Regional Conference held in Forth Worth, Texas on Feb 17th and 18th.

This educational conference included a career fair, networking and educational sessions and allowed students to expand their industry knowledge and connect with industry professionals, career opportunities, and resources. Further, this annual conference allows the Appalachian State Gamma Iota Sigma Rho chapter to invest in underclassmen interested in GIS leadership opportunities.

The current GIS Rho President, Tanner Grail, also attended as a way of transferring important institutional knowledge to these hopeful future leaders of the Rho Chapter. Junior RMI major Caroline Reeder, Junior RMI and finance double major Molly Holcombe, and first-year RMI and finance double major David Cyubahiro also attended the conference.

Thank you, students, for representing the GIS Rho Chapter and Appalachian State University so well!
