Appalachian Risk Management & Insurance Majors Attend 2018 Westfield College Days

Three Appalachian State University Risk Management & Insurance majors, Pedro Segundo, Tristan Pike and Brittany Patrick, participated in the Fall 2018 Westfield College Days on November 7-9.  While on Westfield’s Ohio campus, the students met with the company’s leaders, networked with other Risk Management & Insurance (RMI) majors from across the country, and learned more about internships and professional opportunities within Westfield.

“I had such a wonderful experience attending the 2018 Westfield College Days in Ohio,” said AppState RMI Senior Brittany Patrick.   “The event broadened my scope of Westfield Insurance Company as well as the industry.  I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to attend such an inspiring event.”

“We appreciate the opportunity to share more about the insurance industry with students from 12 different RMI programs across the nation,” adds Andrew Farver, University Relations Manager with Westfield.    “It’s rewarding to not only show them what Westfield has to offer, but also to see them build a network with the peers they meet at this event!  It’s a privilege to host App State students from one of the most reputable RMI programs in the country.”    For more information about Westfield, or to learn about internship/career opportunities, please visit their website:  www.westfieldinsurance.com.
