App State RMI Students Selected for Prestigious WSIA Internship

Each year, the Wholesale and Specialty Insurance Association (WSIA) hosts an internship program where students get to experience 2 different organizations over the course of their 8 week internship. This highly regarded internship program selects 25 students out of the hundreds that apply. This year, the Risk Management and Insurance program in the Walker College of Business is proud to announce that 2 of our students were selected to participate! Adrian Everett and Zack Middleton are looking forward to their internship experience with WSIA and thank them for the opportunity for a hands-on learning experience this summer.

Adrian had this to say about this opportunity. “I'm excited about spending time on both the underwriting and brokerage sides of the industry. It’s a unique opportunity to be able to gain experience on both sides within the same internship, and I can't wait to immerse myself in this dual exposure. Also, the opportunity to live in one or possibly two major cities for nine weeks this summer is thrilling. I've only been outside of North Carolina a handful of times, so this opportunity holds significant personal importance. Overall, this internship represents a truly unique and singular opportunity, and I'm super enthusiastic about the entire experience.

Zack mentioned “One of the most important is being able to learn from industry leaders to continue developing my professional palette and further explore the informalities of the E&S market, which is what keeps me intrigued. I am also excited about the networking opportunities to continue building not only business relationships, but even more valuable to me, personal relationships.”

The Brantley Risk and Insurance Center congratulates both Adrian and Zack on this great accomplishment! We cannot wait to hear about their experiences next fall!
