Appalachian State Gamma Iota Sigma hosted its Fall 2026 Open House last night. Oliver Fogle, Jack Cuddy and Cecelia Cagle gave an overview of the GIS organization, what it stands for, and what our chapter offers.
Ashleigh Larson, Zach Needles and Charles Fairchild shared their summer internship experiences. They discussed how they secured their internships, arranged housing, and what their day-to-day responsibilities looked like.
We had about 100 students in attendance, and many shared that they found the event both informative and helpful. A special thank-you to Dr. David Marlett, Dillon Waschenbach, Dr. Lori Medders, Prof. Gary Meggs, Prof. Austin Eggers, Dr. Sabina Pandey and Wendy Deng for supporting our students at this event.
